My four week old son was just put on famotidine last night. We are doing it twice a day. How soon will I see improved results after starting this medication? I can’t seem to find anything online as far as how long it takes to see improvement and I forgot to ask my doctor. He’s been spitting up still today but has only received two doses of it since starting. He tends to spit up more when laying down. We pace feed him a bottle over 30 minutes and then keep him upright for another 20 to 30 minutes afterwards. He seems very uncomfortable after eating most meals. Even keeping him upright, we’re still seeing spit up. The worst is when we have him in his car seat and he will spit up large amounts. I’m assuming it’s because of him being cramped in the car seat.
