How old are kids when they play independently?

I know they start playing independently young for a few mins but I mean how old are they when they play independently for the most part?

My eldest had played mostly independently since 18 months or so, before that she could reliably play by herself for 30min at a time. My second is 10.5 months and is the total opposite personality wise and has just now started playing independently for ~20 min at a time

My daughter is 2.5 and has independently played for most of her life. She can sit for 30-45mins at a time (sometimes longer) doing an activity on her own with minimal help from me

My kids have always been very big independent players. As soon as they could sit up, they'd play independently for little stretches of time. Around 9-12 months is when all of mine started doing it for long stretches of time. Pretty much as soon as my kids could walk (12 months) they were willing and able to play in their room for at least 2 hours while I did time consuming things like cooking, mopping, household chores, stuff like that. I never shut them in their room or anything. My oldest and my middle have just been very good about entertaining themselves when they see I'm busy, starting when they could walk. My youngest is the worst about it. He can entertain himself for maybe an hour (he is almost 2) while my middle one (3), who has autism, literally only plays by himself. 
It also depends on the kid and how much you encourage independent play. I can tell you that my 7 year old niece never did independent play at all. She would absolutely not play by herself until she was old enough to have a phone/tablet. And that was mostly because my mother (who had her while my sister worked) would never encourage independent play and would give into my niece's every whim, still does really.

My kiddo has always played independently… mostly because I really don’t enjoy playing with him so he just plays by himself. I’d say he started really getting into pretend play about 3ish months ago (he turned 3 in March), and before that would stack blocks and build little houses for his cars since about 22 months. Before that he would do activities like his busy board, trucks and cars, play kitchen, etc.
I do activities with him like baking together, going for walks and to the park, drawing or crafts, I’ll set up forts for him or we will make play kitchen appliances with boxes, but when it comes to sitting and actually playing pretend I just really don’t like it so he does it by himself.

It depends on a kid and how you teach them.
My son has been able to play independent ly form the beginning. Not all the time, the time frame has increast with age. He is 20 months now, and he can play 10-15 minutes at a time for sure. Then comes and talks to me or shows me something and continues playing.

My son is 3.5 years old and he’s been playing independently since 15 months or so for as long as an hour, which is great! But as of recently his attention span has significantly decreased and he doesn’t do anything for more than 5 minutes. I’m not sure if it’s because his schedule has been out of whack because we are moving or what!
