Can someone explain your highest fertile day only being 33%?

That just seems low. And I know that’s the highest it can get and it’s lower in days leading up to ovulation but what does that 33% mean? Are some of our eggs not good?

We’ve been doing the deed every day during my fertile week so hoping it’s going to be a good result! The 33% is kind of discouraging me though…I think mostly because I don’t understand what it means 😕

No, it is statiatics. It means if a person has sex exactly on the right time, both partners are healthy, then statistically one in three gets pregnant. It doesn't mean some eggs are bad or something. It is just that it doesn't work every time, even if all conditions are perfect.

I’m pretty sure it’s actually closer to only 25% at highest each month! That’s why they say it can take a healthy couple up to 1 year to conceive

There’s so much that goes into getting pregnant. All factors have to line up perfectly which won’t happen every month. Factors like sperm quantity/quality, sperm speed, egg dropping, cervix opening, timing of sperm swimming and egg dropping…It truly is a science. It took me a year to conceive my first baby and 3 months to conceive my second.

That's actually on the higher end of chances.

Some eggs are abnormal, some don't mature, and some get fertilized but have genetic abnormalities.
