Diagnosed with GD, baby measuring 60th percentile

ri

I’m a FTM & currently 30+6. I saw a MFM last wednesday and see her again tomorrow- my son is currently weighing in at an estimated 3lbs 11oz. I’ve been checking blood sugar 4 times a day and controlling with diet and just recently started a few days ago. My first few days numbers were bumpy, but this morning my fasting numbers were great! my after breakfast numbers were also great and in range, i’m hoping that the rest of the day my numbers will be A-OK. i’m just worried, they had told me my son was in 60th percentile via abdomen- in other words his belly is big compared to the rest of his body. his arms and legs are apparently super short too, but they told me that it was just probably his genetics considering i’m 4’11 & his father is 5’11. I was wondering if anyone else is going through or has gone through this and their baby come out proportional :( ? the man who went over my ultrasound with me didn’t find anything else wrong but he was very judge mental and was blaming my GD on me when my OBGYN & nutritionist told me it wasn’t my fault, but the placenta..
