Birth control switch

I’ve been on nuvaring for 3 years and I’m ready for a change and because recently work has been hectic and I’ve missed my removal and insert time that affects the effectiveness. So I discussed the kyleena IUD option. Are IUDs worth it? I had one expelled in the past so I’m nervous about another! And I do like the fact they’re very effective! How’s insertion? Last time I was horrible but she didn’t do it right or a good job. My gyno explained all the different ones so we went ahead with the kyleena choice. I work a very active job so I don’t want to be too crampy. Do the cramps last a long time? Any experiences would be appreciated! I’m 23, no babies, if that helpful
