Comparing my Relationship with others

Hello!

So lately I’ve been struggling with comparing my relationship to other relationships around me. I’ve been with my boyfriend for about 9 months now and I constantly feel sad when looking at others posts on instagram and TikTok and seeing how much time these couples spend together and all the fun they have.

Don’t get me wrong I love my boyfriend he’s so sweet and has never disrespected me in any way. We do tend to spend a generous amount of time together at each others homes. But sometimes I wish I could ask more of him. Usually I’ll build up the courage to ask for things like more quality time together, more (deeper) communication and even the smaller things like flowers. But, for some reason something in me tends to be scared to ask him for more. Of course I’ve brought this fear up to him, and he has reassured me that he’s always going to be okay with any issues I have.

So I guess what I’m asking here is how can I get myself to be more open with him? And how can I stop comparing us to other couples?
