Hospital Bills

Mommaof2

Okay so my oldest (2 years old)

Fell and hit his head. So we took him to the hospital cause that Is what was recommended. We get there and get taken back. The nurses check his vitals and then look in his ears and eyes for 2 seconds. They did give him motrin and had him get an xray. Didn't say anything to us till we were discharged. (He had a small concussion) They gave us the bill which was about 1100 dollars without insurance and that didn't include the xray. 1100 dollars for looking in his ears for 2 seconds and checking his blood pressure. Wth!? And it's not like health insurance is cheap either so it's expensive either way. America's Healthcare is absolutely a complete joke.

Ladies,

I appreciate all the advice but I was just coming on here to vent about it. I didn't put this in there but I was recommended by his doctor to take him to the er because he was only wanting to sleep and and kept saying his head hurt not only that but he was also vomiting. I tried to check his eyes myself while he was asleep. I flashed a bright light in his eyes and he didnt move. The er said he had a concussion. And I did get the itemized bill.

He is doing great today.

Thank you
