How accurate are sono measurements?

Wondering how accurate sonogram measurements are. I had an appointment this afternoon with my
OB at 35 weeks and 4 days. Based on his measurements the baby is about 7 and a half lbs 🫣 hoping she’s not really that big. I’m scheduled to deliver at 38w and 5 days.

Mine was a little off. My gyn estimated 2.8kg a day before I gave birth...God bless her. The hospital estimated 4.2kg and since I was still lingering btn vbac n csection, they got someone with more experience that told me 4.3kg. we opted for an elective csection and baby was 4.86kg. this baby is being estimated at 3.75kg. my belly seems huge but I have lots of amniotic fluid due to GD. am hoping not as big as my first because I did my best to control my GD. ps. Didn't have GD with my first. have a scheduled csection so we shall see.

For me they were off. But in the bigger direction... My first was measured to be 9.5 pounds and was 10lbs 11oz. My second was measured to be 8lbs 5oz the morning of the day I had him and he was 8lbs 12oz. They can be wrong a pound or two either way.

It was accurate with my first. At 37w they told me she's measuring 2.1 +-0.3kg and she was born 2.2kg at 37+4w

They estimated my first to be between 10-11 lbs. He was born at 8.6. 
They haven’t given me a final measurement on my son but at my 33/34w sono he was already measuring right under 7 lbs. i am hoping it is off. I keep getting told how big he is. 🥴

My first they estimated to be over 10 lbs and he was 9lbs 6oz. My second they estimated to be average and she was a tiny 6lbs! Soooo it’s hard to tell honestly 🤷🏻‍♀️
