Broken water?

I’m pretty sure my water has a leak to it. Not exactly sure how big or small the leak it is. Obviously it’s not a big leak but what am I supposed to do? If it’s not leaking when I get to the hospital will they be able to tell? I don’t want to waste my time or theirs….

It’s not a waste of anyones time. You go and make sure baby is safe and ok. They can check your levels. My water broke and they sent me home and said no it didn’t. I ended up going back a few hours later and try he admitted me. Don’t take any chances ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Definitely go to hospital to have them check. Baby needs that amniotic fluid so you need to make sure everything’s ok. It’s really common for women to not be sure if their water is leaking or if they accidentally used the bathroom a little or something so the drs deal with this sort of thing all the time

I leaked with my second child, the hospital missed it when I went to get checked. The test they use is not very accurate. But I would go ahead and get checked incase it’s a major leak.

This happened to me. Had a high leak! I was insistent on them checking me and it took 3 tests before they finally stated that’s what it was. I was in pre term labor. I wouldn’t feel like you’re wasting their time-they are there to help you!

Depends are you early in pregnancy or not close to due date? Then go get checked if you’re close to due date. I’d leave it a little longer and contractions should kick in pretty well and truly. Within a couple of hours. I’d they don’t then I’d get checked to confirm if it was leaking. If they have broken it will continue to leak and leak and you won’t be able to stop it.

They will swab you to see if it's leaking. Best way to describe it is a PH water test. If it's leaking they will know by the color change. It's best safe than sorry and you get an infection. Don't feel bad thinking you are wasting their time it's just a quick check and if it's negative they will send you on your way with reassurance.

They will be able to tell and you’re not wasting their time. It’s their job and it’s better to be sure. But my understanding is it’ll be a pretty steady trickle of it’s your water. You can try laying down for a half hour or so and the standing up to see if you get a more obvious flow.
