Does age matter

Hi ladies, just want to hear some options. I am currently dating a man who is 62 and I’m 46 . He treats me like a queen honestly and I’ve never been in a relationship where my man spoiled me so much . He is super caring, considerate and is always thinking about me. Here is the buy (lol) in our conversation he has a tendency to give me a explanation about our conversation and why things are the way they are. Every single time, which Can get a little annoying and he goes on and on and on talking. He has mentioned that I should tell him to stop talking when is rambling… am i being to picky ladies if thing like this bothers me about him . Please don’t be too hard on me

Age wise I’d be more concerned about the long term. When you’re in your “golden” retirement years of 60-70, he will be 76-86 and getting too old to enjoy a lot of what you will be interested in doing.

My partner is 59, I am 43, I think age matters when one person is under age that’s for darn sure, I think when you’re older it’s not as bad because you have more in common with somebody who is older, you’ve both experienced life, my partner and I knew each other 20 years before we actually got together, but had he approach me in my early 20s we would’ve had nothing in common, his kids were young, now they are grown and out of the house, we’re both business owners, homeowners, etc. were in different places at least I am. And what I love most about him because he’s a lawyer is that he can explain anything without making you feel stupid that’s what I love most about him he never makes me feel inferior because I’m not a lawyer, he literally is my best friend. He is the bevis to my butt head, he cracks me up so much,. I think it’s one thing when there is control involved, when they make you feel like you’re not enough or less than or you don’t know what you’re talking about or they disregard your feelings or emotions, or manipulation and guilt, that sort of thing but an age gap doesn’t have to be that way. Especially when it comes to money. When money is used as a form of control, guilt, manipulation, to get what they want, or they withhold money as a form of control, to get what they want, or manipulation or passive aggressive behavior or narcissism or anything else, none of that is fair. You just have to be careful, you also have to think to yourself why is somebody this age, and single, is it because they have so many issues, is it because they’ve been dropped by so many people, is it because no woman their own age will take them seriously, is it because they never grew up, are they still the typos 48 living in their mothers basement, who plays video games all day and can’t keep a job or is irresponsible or anything else, you got a look at the bigger picture, are they divorced, are they racking up baby mamas and children, are they whatever it may be that’s what you got to figure out what the amount of baggage that comes with them. And if it’s worth it or not. A lot of times older men are very set in their ways and stubborn and think they can call the shots because they are the older one, and when you’re younger, you may not have the same goals in life. The first thing my partner and I talked about was that kids were off the table, he didn’t want to start all over again and that’s kind of understandable being 59 years old. I agreed, because I don’t want kids, I don’t mind somebody who comes with kids, but his kids are grown and out of the house, and that’s completely understandable. I completely agreed, but if I was somebody who wanted kids, that wouldn’t be the right relationship for me. I’m also somebody who is not in a race to get to the altar, marriage is the last thing on my mind. Growing up when I turn 30 I thought by the time I turn 30 I’ll probably be married with three kids, stay at home mom. But that wasn’t the deck of cards that I was dealt. I have zero kids, two miscarriages, and I’m very high risk, which is why I don’t want kids and I really don’t want to put myself through another miscarriage. So the fact that kids are off the table is fine by me. I am in no rush to get married, that is the last thing on my mind. If I’m 50 or 60 or 70 when I get married or never at all, it makes no difference to me. I know people are in different places in their life and they have different priorities. Some women feel that if they’re not engaged or married after six months or a year or two years, but it’s not the right place for them. I’m two years in with my partner, marriage is the last thing on my mind. I’m not in any rush, I am having fun with my partner, I am enjoying life, no pressure, just going with the flow day by day. But again I’m not in the same place as other people are people have different goals and if your goals do not align, then obviously it’s not the right place for you. You just have to figure out if this is the right place for you or not.

When it's two grown adults like this age does not matter. I wouldn't see anything odd about your all's age difference.
Most men that age do just chatter. Even age aside I think when someone is speaking to a person they love it's easy to just ramble on because they are happy they are talking with someone they really care about.
If you love him just listen to him and carry on with him. It's good time to spend together in my opinion. Maybe you can get in on chattering as well. He may enjoy listening to you ramble. I love when my husband just talks to me even if he's going on and on and I definitely ramble myself.

There's nothing wrong with that age. One of my best friends turned fifty this year and he's marrying a woman who is sixteen years younger than him. Of course there are things she wants to do that he's too tired for, but their relationship works and they love each other.

His age makes him a lot less likely to respect you and think of you as an equal. Lots of men do that no matter what, but it is guaranteed to happen more with him because of the age gap. You are going to feel treated as inferior in some way, less intelligent or capable than you are. Fixable, maybe. Lots of open communication requiring an open mind from him.

My husband and I are 20 years apart. I'm 24 and he is 44 and we have been together for 6 years. We are now on our second child and everything. I dont think age matters, as long as it is two consenting adults and not a adult with someone underaged.
