Zofran, whose taking it?

Curious to know. I hear mixed reviews about it. But it's still a category b pregnancy medication, Tylenol is at a category c so that's saying zofran is safer to take while pregnant than Tylenol.

I took promethazine (stopped at 14 weeks) and I'm still on dicelgis. Both worked for me! Not a 100% fix but you can take them together. If your dr prescribed it I would say it's safe. Some of these studies I wanna know where the information is coming from! How is it for sure the zofran caused a birth defect or miscarriage?

My dr wouldn't prescribe it to me before 10 weeks, but she said that after 10 weeks she would.

My sis took it more than she was supposed to with both her pregnancys. Both babies were perfect.

I take it and I've never worried about it; it's safe to use or my MD wouldn't have prescribed it.  Diclegis didn't touch my nausea and vomiting, and while Zofran isn't a 100% fix, it has seriously helped me get through some days.  It will depend on you're comfort level with meds but I would trust your practitioner has to say and do whatever you think is best.

My IVF doctor gave it to me at about 10wks. Only took it twice because I was scared of all the talk. When I had my 1st OB appointment she said they don't recommend it in the 1st trimester.

I won't take it after hearing all the negative reviews and a girl in my anatomy class lost her baby due to zofran. I'd rather be nausea then take the risk

It's been on the news recently. Some mothers came out with a lawsuit because they believe it caused birth defects. They feel that the pharmaceutical company pushes it on doctors. It's meant for patients going through chemotherapy and something else (I can't remember). I don't know much about it but they gave me some at the hospital and I threw it in the garbage. I'll take the nausea over the risk, whether those women are right or wrong about birth defects.
