Has your kid ever hit their head really hard?

Has your kid ever hit their head REALLY hard from a fall, something hitting them, or some sort of impact and been 100% ok? I’m talking falling off a counter, chair, etc onto their head on a hard floor, getting hit in the head by a stray football, running straight into a glass door….those kind of incidents. 
Does this happen to most kids at some point in their life?

Yes but you should always take your child to be evaluated if its really hard. Some people can't tell the signs of a concussion.

Yes my son tried to climb out of his crib (he was almost 3 and we were waiting until he was 3 to convert his crib to a toddler bed) and he fell and hit his head on the hardwood floor. He immediately has a huge bump/bruise on his forehead and we took him to urgent care. He was totally fine. Things happen but definitely get any injuries assessed by a doctor.

Anytime a kid falls hard directly on their head they need to be evaluated, every situation and kid and spot hit equals a different outcome . 
I’m sure it does happen , but every one is different, and you can not know for sure if they are really okay without medical evaluation

My son flipped himself over the back of our couch and landed flat on his forehead when he was 18 months. He was nowhere near the couch and I looked away for a second. Shit happens so quickly. He had a big goose egg and was dazed for a bit but never lost consciousness. I bawled harder than he did. The ER doctor told us the best part of their head to bang is their forehead because it's the strongest bone in their body and he wasn't concerned for my son at all. My son is 4 now. Hyper as hell (has been since in the womb though) but a beautiful kid inside and out! Shit happens. We are human. Most of the time kids are fairly resilient and turn out ok. If you are concerned, don't be afraid to go get your LO checked out.

My husband tripped over a baby gate and fell onto our 2 year old...and our son slammed his head on the tile floor...he had a baseball size bruise and it swelled within minutes...we took him to the er and everything came back fine thank God

Yes. My son slipped and slammed his head into the corner of a stucco wall at the zoo. He needed stitches in his head. He’s fine. It was so scary, but no issues long term, just a cool story and a cool scar.

My niece constantly bonks her head and now that my son is more mobile he is also bonking his head on everything. Kids are clumsy and silly. No need to worry unless they are showing symptoms or it was an extremely bad fall.

yea by son fell out of a barstool the other day and slammed his head on the ground. it echoed. recovery time was like 1 min. he also fell down a set of stairs, off the bed, etc. it’s part of life.

My son just had a concussion end of April, ambulance, hospital and a very scared mama to follow. 
He’s completely fine now, but I’ve never seen anything by likes that. 
If there isn’t puke, loss of consciousness, slurred speech, or other concussion symptoms, I would watch them close but use ice and call it good.

Our son crawled through the cat door and fell down 14 wooden steps at 10mo. He’s a normal 4 year old now. Our daughter plows into everything and usually catches herself with her face. At 15mo she broke her front tooth. Last week (22mo) she fell off a bench and busted up her mouth again, so off to the dentist we go again (she’s also about to lose her entire big toe nail from a door she opened onto her foot).
