Have you ever had a suicidal spouse?
My husband has been in a horrible depression for almost a year. A month ago he vanished for half the day and I thought he was going to hurt himself - I tracked him down sitting in his car by the state forest. He told me he absolutely hates himself, feels trapped, and wishes he could disappear. After that he got on Lexapro and told me he was feeling better. It is hard to tell because he is so good at masking. We have been dealing with a lot of issues surfacing from him being molested as a child.
This week he has become completely worse and told me he couldn't stop thinking about driving to Top Gun to unalive himself once he got off work and confessed he doesn't think the meds are helping and he feels the same. He told me he wanted a divorce and I could have everything and keep everything. I posted about it in here and you guys thought he was going to commit suicide. He said he wasn't but I think he was. I have never seen him so unhinged. He called his doc but can't get in until next week.
He goes to therapy every other week and told me he will do what it takes to heal so he doesn't keep scaring me.
I am afraid to leave him alone. I am afraid the man I love is going to end his life. How do I deal with this?
