My boyfriend told me he liked two girls…

My boyfriend told me that he liked two girls when he was at University (he has left now). In dorms, he liked a girl he lived with, and a girl upstairs, while we were boyfriend and girlfriend. He described it as a ‘vibe’.

He told me this while we were watching a TV show. I guess something that happened on TV reminded him of it and he said he fancied (liked) someone, and I told him elaborate, then he told me about it.

He explained it like if he got the feeling that he would maybe flirt with the girl if he wasn’t in a relationship, he distanced himself, the the point where the girl questioned if he even liked her (in a friend way).

So he distanced himself from these girls. He said it wasn’t deep feelings. At this time, we were very long distanced and he was struggling with that.

He left university; it wasn’t for him, and he wrote paragraphs for everyone he lived with. I remember asking to see the paragraphs and I saw the one he wrote for the girl he had a ‘vibe’ with. I specifically remember it saying something like “you’re the person I’d want to go on holiday with”. I remember thinking that that’s quite endearing, and feeling a lil weird about it. This was before he told me about him liking her.

I guess my feeling was right lol?

I understand that when you’re in a relationship, you may find yourself liking someone. And he did the right thing by distancing himself.

I’m not sure how to feel, as we are all humans, and I can’t be mad at human feelings.
