Going at it alone

Hello ladies....I am currently 9 weeks and 4 days along and have recently become single. After knowing my ex for 14 years and being together for a year we were thrilled to find out we were having our first together. He has a 15 yr old and I have a 7 yr old.

12 days ago I found out some horrific information about my boyfriend and decided (after a huge confrontation) that we are better off as friends and I would rather go through this pregnancy and raise our child on my own.

Seeing that I have been a single Mom to my 7yr old since he was 2...you would think I would be scared to do it all over again. It's tough work! But I'm feeling the exact opposite. I'm actually less stressed and happier since my ex moved out. I feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and although this is not my ideal situation and I never wanted to do this all again on my own. I feel I made the best decision possible for me, my son, and the little squish growing inside of me.

Is anyone else finding themselves in a similar situation?
