My son turns 3 next week and is consistently napping daily. 
He doesn’t sleep for long at night (9 hours) no matter what I try, including cutting out naps completely, so he usually has 1.5-2hours in the afternoon to make up his sleep total.

My son usually takes a nap daily and it’s about 1-2 hours. Sometimes we do skip a nap for special occasions or if he sleeps in late after a night out. He usually sleeps about 10.5 hrs a night.
