Reuseable pads? How to discreetly use them

Have any of y’all tried reuseable pads? I’ve been really interested in trying them, but my only concern is how to use them in college. I will be in an apartment with a shared bathroom and public laundry room. I am just concerned with how cleaning them discreetly will go.

I reckon I would have a wet bag, a laundry soap bar, a bucket with a lid, and a laundry bag. 
When you change, do the initial rinse, and store the dirty in your wet bag. When you get home, wash with the laundry soap bar. Thoroughly rinse and place in the bucket to soak (some brands don't get left to soak so this may not be applicable for all reusable pads).
Change water in the bucket once or twice a day. If you want to be low waste, this water should be fine to water your plants with. 
When your period is over, put everything in your laundry bag and wash per the pad instructions. 
I always hang my pads to dry in the sun but if you don't want to do that you could get one of the little hanging drying racks to dry somewhere more private. But nothing beats sunshine.
Are you worried about a room mate or housemates? If someone is in the same room as you I can understand they might not want your pads hanging up to dry in the shared space. If you're not sharing a room I don't think your housemates should get upset about things you do privately in the bathroom and in your room. I would probably wait and see what the living situation was like and what the people were like before making a decision. A cup might be more discreet.

I started using a period disc (different from a cup) and love it better than anything! I started with the disposable Flex Discs for the first few months to get used to them, which took 3 or 4 cycles of intermittent trying. They will leak the first few times till you get the hang of it, so wear a pad and plan for that! Then after I finished my second box I switched to the Cora silicone reusable one. It took me 2 cycles to really get it down but it’s been amazing. And I back it up with period undies, which are like pads but could look more discreet in shared laundry spaces! I only have one pair but am planning to get more so I don’t have to ration them lol. This last month was my first totally sustainable period! Woo-hoo!

Keep pads in your room. And if you put them in laundry, place them in a laundry bag, keeps them all in one place.
But I personally think in college people are quite grown up and don't care anyway.
I did use a cup trough out my college years. I just hate pads, so can not tell more specific suggestions.
