Threatened Miscarriage

Jasmine

Hey, I’m Jasmine, I am 31. This is my first time being pregnant after trying for 7 years and being told I was infertile. I may possibly have PCOS. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant going on 13 weeks this Friday. I live in a small community with limited access of the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, where you would have to travel by plane or boat to leave. Tuesday morning was definitely eventful. I had a scheduled clinic appointment for blood drawn at 8am. As I was getting ready before my appointment I noticed tiny bleeding in the shower. As I was using the bathroom I began bleeding turning into spotting. I have been diagnosed with threatened miscarriage and still waiting on my blood type and other lab results. It’s one of the most terrifying things in my life. I was definitely an emotional wreck as my hormones were sky rocket and trying to process everything that is going on with my body and worst case scenarios popped into my head which lead to me doing a lot of research. I recently lost my father 6 months ago and currently 3 months pregnant. So this would be a miracle of a blessing child. I am put on pelvic rest, have to monitor my symptoms and take it easy, no heavy lifting, etc. I had to figure out on my own to make/schedule appointments which can be frustrating to someone who has never done anything like this before. Anyways, I am scheduled to leave on Monday, have an ultrasound on Tuesday, and OB/GYN appointment on Wednesday. If anything were to escalate with my symptoms than I would have to be emergency flown out. I have a lot of emotions as I’m trying to stay calm. I currently went back to the clinic to get a peace of mind of doing the baby heartbeat check, they could not locate it so I will be going back tomorrow and hoping they have my lab results and finding the baby’s heartbeat. I am seeking for guidance, support, answers, reassurance, help in any way possible. Thank you.
