Dropping Night Feeding

I BF my son during the day but he takes a bottle at 2:30am and I pump (he was constantly falling asleep on the breast and did better with bottle, also allows dad to get a feed in) and today our ped said that we could drop the night feeding. My question is - do I still need to pump? I do get full breasts when I go much longer than 4-5 hours, so I’m guessing yes, but then how would I eventually drop that pumping session??

I have an Elvie curve which is worthless but maybe I need a Haakaa to use at night for right now?
