Fever when 4 weeks pregnant!

My toddler had a fever yesterday and was throwing up and had a stuffy nose. Now today I am beginning to develop a fever. My temperature is currently 100.3... so just about a high grade fever. I'm freaking out.... I heard fevers can cause birth defects during early pregnancy and I obviously do not want that for my child!! Ice packs on my head and neck are not helping.. is Tylenol safe to take?!? Has anyone else had a fever during the earliest part of pregnancy and still ended up with a healthy baby?!? Any advise to get this fever down would be appreciated! Please let me know your stories!
