should i see a new Dr?
so i have a couple different concerns, so first i was on the bc patch about 6 months last year. i noticed right away how painful my periods were (as someone who had never usually had cramps before) as well as my periods suddenly were super heavy and i was passing huge clots. my dr didn’t even spend 2 mins listening to my concerns before telling me it’s normal since i just switched birth controls and to just come back in 3 months if it’s still happening, next there was a time where i thought i had either a UTI or BV, when i went to her with my symptoms she said she didn’t think it was either of those things and instead gave me a STD test. i went to another doctor after the symptoms not going away still 6 months later and her still telling me i’m fine and i ended up having BV. (i wish i could still go to that dr but he doesn’t accept my insurance.) now after telling her i don’t want to go back on birth control and my periods are still super painful and heavy even after being off it for a year, she’s trying to convince me to just switch to another birth control which i really don’t want to. i want to find a new dr and maybe see if there’s anything i can do about my periods because after having a miscarriage in january, my cycles (which used to ALWAYS be very regular) have been super irregular, and i started tracking ovulation last month and ended up ovulating pretty late and having a 40 day cycle, so i want to find out what’s going on but after being dismissed so many times i feel so anxious about going back.
