Postpartum intercourse

Everytime I have intercourse (after giving birth to 9lbs, Im 5'2") with my husband I bleed. My tears open again and I can see the tears again. My miswife took 15 stitches after the labor and I am 9 weeks postpartum. My husband and I waited 6 weeks to have intercourse and after that 2 more weeks. I am still having tears open up and bleeding after intercourse! Help! Is thia common? My midwife said it just takes time to heal...
