Miscarriage?

I’m a little confused.. I think I might’ve had a miscarriage, but not sure. About 3 weeks ago I started getting very sick and was super nauseous but didn’t think anything of it. My period was 8 days late then out of nowhere I wake up and there is blood everywhere.. super heavy flow when I’ve never had a heavy flow like this. Thoughts?

I don’t think it was a miscarriage just probably a delayed period which caused additional blood than what you’re used to

You really can’t assume miscarriage without a positive test. 
Late ovulation can happen any month. A heavy period can happen any month. 
You’ll never know if you did test. And you can’t assume it was if you didn’t test.
