Is Amelia too popular now?

Amelia is my favorite name. I was so shocked to find out it was #3 in popularity 😢 I’ve only ever met 2. Do you know a lot of Amelia’s? And does anyone have suggestions for other names?

Idk why a criteria for a name these days is "can't be too popular" or "I need a crazy spelling"

I know one but never taught one and I’m a teacher. The person I know who named their daughter that calls her Millie. I think it’s adorable.

I don’t know any! Are you in the USA? If so, check the social security website for your particular state and see where it falls. My daughter’s name is pretty popular by national standards but her name came in at 97th in my state the year she was born. You can’t always put much stock in the baby name lists 😊

I know tons. Seriously. It's like every park we go there's an Amelia  or any new girl we meet is called Amelia! My daughter is very confused why everyone has the same name 🤣 She's 2.

Probably depends on where you live. I don't know any girl called Amelia with first name. Only one that had Amelia as second name but never goes by it. She's only called by her first name.

I was acquainted with a 32 year old Amelia, and I have a 25 year old cousin with Amelia as a middle name. Otherwise I have never heard it used so I don't think it is too popular at the moment and I'm quite invested in names 🤷‍♀️
