No. The sperm that fertilizes determined the sex. Pretty sure sperm have no idea what year it is.

What? Of course not. Both boys and girls are born about evenly every year

Well it’s not about what I believe I just look at the data. It just doesn’t work that way. There are no “boy” or “girl” years. Statistically it’s almost even but basically every year just slightly more boys are born than girls. On an evolutionarily level they say this is because men are more likely to die from early accidental deaths due to things like suicide, homicide, and risky behaviors. So ultimately it keeps our population 50-50 that there are slightly more boys born overall than girls￼!
