Declined Induction

My OB offered to induce me tomorrow because I was diagnosed with chronic hypertension (in my first trimester) and I've officially hit 38 weeks, and I've started experiencing more swelling.

I declined because I physically feel fine, my blood pressure has been in normal ranges (even without meds) and I'm only dilated 1cm. My family is acting like I'm crazy, but it just doesn't seem medically necessary right now and I'd like to avoid a C-section as much as possible.

Am I crazy for declining the induction? Any suggestions or tricks to dilate naturally?
