Just because the coworker is female? No. We don't go around asking people for money, though. I don't see any extra issue with the person being a woman, though.

If he forgot his wallet or something and needed to buy lunch?  Or gas?  No, I wouldn’t.   I’d need to know the context….  did he ask for money like to get him by in life for a minute??🤪

No, I'm not that insecure that my husband can't help a person in need. He shares food with the people at work all the time and in fact has a stash of chocolates especially for the women at his work.

It depends. Is it to cover lunch because he doesn’t have his wallet or like $500 for a car payment? I asked my male coworker if he could spot me lunch because I didn’t have Yen on hand and I know my husband would be 100% ok with it. I don’t think gender should have any determining factor to it. Would it make you feel better if he asked a male co-worker?

More details. Why did he ask for money? He forget his lunch? He didn't have enough money for lunch? Those are the only two scenarios that this is acceptable. I wouldn't be happy if my husband asked ANYONE for money because he has plenty unless his card isn't working and he needs to eat lunch and asks a coworker to spot him.
