Baby wearing with a bad back
I have had a bad back for 10+ years. Specifically I have degenerative disk disease w/a couple bulging disks from L3-S2 as well as arthritis.
I have been baby wearing on occasion, usually for an hour or less at a time. Started off with a moby wrap, which was okay for my back but not the easiest to get baby into & not ideal when it’s 90-110 outside.
I was given an ergobaby carrier which has a wide waist, clips around your lower back & upper shoulders. Fine at first but after like 30min I have to stop using it cuz it hurts so bad. Then my back is ruined for like 4-5 days after.
Does anyone else have a bad back & is able to successfully baby wear? Baby’s only 16lbs. I was hoping to baby wear for a while but unless I find a carrier that won’t damage my back I won’t be able to for much longer.
