Yeast infection

So I had a yeast infection on vacation so I had started taking probiotics every morning and night to get rid of it. I stopped having some symptoms and I took fluconazole when I got home today. Me and my boyfriend has sex like a few hours after I took the fluconazole and now at night I can see some yeast buildup in my vagina when I checked. I don’t think you can get another one that fast do you think I still had the yeast just some symptoms like itchy went away and sex irritated it and made more buildup? Does this usually happen? Also is there a cream my boyfriend can use just in case he gets a yeast infection or is carrying one with no symptoms? Im going to my gynecologist in a week
