Baby number 3 at 43?
My husband and I have been blessed with two beautiful healthy sons, ages 3 years and 3 months. I met my husband later in life and had my babies at 38 and 41. We did IVF for both. Now that my second son is 3 months old, I’ve been thinking about our final two genetically normal embryos that we have in the freezer. If I was younger, there is no doubt that I would transfer them but I’m 41. This means that if we have another successful transfer I would be 43 when baby number 3 is born. My husband is 37 and is happy to have another or not, it’s up to me. I would love to hear from anyone who’s had a baby at 43 or older. What are your thoughts? We don’t want to do embryo adoption so our only other options are to destroy or donate them to science. Eeek! I don’t know what to do. 😩
