Diva Cup Tips

Hi!
I’ve been using tampons forever but I know the Diva Cup (and other menstrual cups) are generally better for you and have lots of benefits. I’m a little nervous when it comes to the menstrual cups because I’ve never used them before. Does anyone recommend them over tampons? Any tips on how to get acquainted with them/reduce the anxiety? Thanks so much :)

I tried the diva cup once and let’s just say it was kinda traumatizing.. i recommend doing some research before committing to a cup so you find out which one will be best for you! (discs are pretty great too, just not for me since i have a high cervix 😅) i recommend taking the quiz from putacupinit.com to see which one will work best for you. i personally use the size 01 flex cup :)

This is the one I use. I am a very heavy bleeder, so I have to empty it 6-8 times a day. I always use a backup pad because of the heavy bleeding but one pad is good for all day most of the time. When I use Tampons I cramp and I use 1 super every 2 hours, so a cup is better for me and saves me money. It's a learning curve but so worth it. 
Oh! And no more wet tampon strings in your underwear!

Try using them when you can be home for a few days. Have a backup, especially when you’re getting used to it - i usually like to wear period underwear on my heavier days. Just read their site thoroughly and watch some TikToks. I like to have two on hand, just in case I’m not in a great place to stop and clean it.
BUT overall, i love these and will never go back to disposables. Less cramping, less trash, more confidence, longer lasting. Oh, and more sex lol
