Anyone ever switch from breastfeeding to formula?

Was it a smooth transition?
Pointers?
I’m anxious about it but know it’s the best decision moving forward for us.

We did. It went great. And it was a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders. I didn’t really like breastfeeding. I had some milk left so we started with mixing formula and milk 1/4 and 3/4 and then slowly increased the amount of formula until it was all formula.

I did! It was a very slow transition for us, from about 7 weeks old he had one bottle of formula or pumped milk per day. From about 10 weeks, he had about 2 bottles of formula per day. By the time he was 4 months, he was completely on formula during the day and breastfeeding during the night. As of about 5.5-6 months, he was fully on formula with an occasional comfort nursing session. He’s almost 7 months now and doing great. 
I didn’t have any issues with clogged ducts or engorgement because my body adjusted naturally over those few months.

I did with my first, due to lack of milk really.
So stopping wasn't an issue as my breasts barely had any reaction to not being emptied (as I barely had any milk)..
And I'll likely switch again this time. I'm pumping now and using formula to supplement. But this time I have milk in my breasts, so unless the production goes down on its own I might need to either slowly pump less and less or get pills to stop production ..

We combo feed so pumped breast milk and formula. I don’t produce enough for him to only get breast milk. Nothing wrong with switching to just formula!
