Do you think being a stay at home mom is hard?

In my family on both sides growing up no one has ever been a stay at home mom. Everyone has always worked.

I got pregnant in high school, then did a trade school college program. I married my husband and we had a second child when I was 23. I'm now 24.

We have a 4 bedroom house I clean, I cook, a 6 year old who's in school and a 1.5 year old, a dog, and 2 cats. My 6 year old is in extracurriculars after school some days as well.

My husband works 12 hour shifts so I do everything while he's at work.

My mom called me and dug INTO me about how I should be working, how being a stay at home mom is easy and I have life easy, how I have plenty of time to do things, how I need to be working.

i told her this is insane as being a SAHM is a full time job and I can't even poop without a child or pet barging in.
