Prorated

Hello, I have a quick question. I cancelled my health insurance on August 15. I was covered from February 1 to August 15. I paid a 1 time fee in January (199.13). I was paying 199.13 monthly. I paid 96.35 for the first 15 days of August. I got a call from a worker from the health insurance and she said that I’m going to be prorated and that it’ll take about 15 days. I asked her what she meant by that and she said that they have to look at my claims and all of that. I looked up online, and it seems like it’s a refund?? I’ve been looking online and all the articles confuse me. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks! :)
