What should I do?? (Progesterone)

Question

Last fall I had a miscarriage around the 8 week mark. My doctor said she wanted me to come in earlier next time and she might put me on progesterone to prevent a miscarriage early on. The next available appointment is at my 7 week mark. What should I do? I could call every day this week to see if they have another opening, but I'm leaving Thursday and will be out of town.

See if your doctor is willing to send in a prescription without seeing you. That’s what mine does if I can’t get in sooner

Call and tell them that your have a history of miscarriage and that your doctor told you he/she wants to see you right after your BFP this time to put you on Progesterone. If they try to refuse ask them to connect you with your doctor’s nurse. Unfortunately a lot of times with the front desk you have to self-advocate and not take no for an answer. They have slots for “emergency appointments” and if your doctor wanted you in ASAP then you qualify for that.
