7 weeks pp bleeding after sex

I’ve had my post partum checkup and it went well, I was cleared to stop pelvic rest.

I was pretty much done bleeding, a few days of spotting in week 6 pp.

The first time we had sex after baby I was scared so I didn’t let him go alll the way in and we went super slow. Everything was fine no pain, second time was normal like all the way in lol and still super gentle. No problems.

The third time we were still gentle, just a lot less gentle and in a different position. It was nice and again no pain but since then I’ve been bleeding bright red. Sometimes sex would kickstart my period, I’m wondering if that’s what happened?

The texture is like bloody discharge though, stringy drips in the toilet, sometimes like a period on the pad, sometimes not on the pad at all, always there when I wipe. Usually bright red sometimes lighter like very pink discharge on the toilet paper.

No concerning clots, not filling pads, not like watery blood, usually just sticky. It could be getting lighter by the day but I can’t tell it’s been 3 days.
