I got this alert and I’m not the most tech savvy person so please help. What does this mean? How am I being tracked? How do I stop it? And can I find who?

It’s an apple AirTag what are you in/have on you? If you toss it the won’t track you anymore

You can make whatever it is, beep and find it. My husband bought a used company truck and it notified him of that. We looked all over and finally found an AirTag with the company name on it. We just took it out and tossed it.
