Prolonged periods

I am 10 months postpartum and 8 months since my last depo shot. I bled non stop on Depo for the 6 months I was on it, and decided to come off. Currently not on hormonal birth control, and my periods have been so much longer. I’m on day 10 as of now, and just when I thought it was going away it seems to be heavier today!! Im not having any pain/cramps or any other symptoms, but man oh man these 10-14 day periods are getting awfully tiring. How long does it take for the effects of depo to be out of my system?? Anyone else have issues with long periods/heavy bleeding during/after depo?
