Severe Heartburn After Pregnancy

During pregnancy, I was having severe heartburn and after pregnancy, I thought it would go away but unfortunately I am still suffering from Severe heartburn and I called my Doctor to report this and he prescribed Peptac for me to take but unfortunately, Peptac and Gaviscon doesn’t work for this Severe heartburn and I don’t know what to do anymore. Please does anyone have any idea on how to stop this Severe heartburn????? Because it is extremely painful and drains me of all my strength and leaves me feeling extremely weak and dizzy
