Is this implantation bleeding?

I was expecting my period today, august 27th. I usually get it right in the morning. No flow present when waking up but inserted a tampon to west while at school for the next few hours. Upon taking out, there were a few specs of blood. I usually have a decent flow on the first day of my period, changing tampons when full every 4-5 hours. However, this has not been the case today. I have minimal bleeding that looks like this every time I take a tampon out. Could someone give insight as to if this looks like IB? I am on combination birth control and do not miss pills and have regularly unprotected sex.
