I’ve been w my BF for 5 months now and I really love him so much. Problem is, I haven’t told him that yet.

Our relationship is very sarcastic and fun. I’m 24 and have never told anyone I’ve loved them before and as much as I want to say it I just don’t think I could get the words out. I feel like it’s awkward and out of my character bc I’m not usually verbally affectionate. Im more affectionate in my body language and touch but i have struggle a lot with being vocal (I even have a really hard time saying “babe” bc I feel like it’s just awkward coming out of my mouth / hearing myself say something I’ve never said before)

I’ve heard before that you should never say it for the first time during sex, but that is when I feel most connected and vulnerable with him. I’ve also thought about saying it as we go to sleep but then his eyes will be closed and idk if eye contact should be involved.

FYI my bf is the same way as I am - I feel his love for me in everything he does but he’s never said it either. I’m not worried whether he’ll say it back or not, I just wanna let him know how I feel!
