Early pregnancy questions

Hey! I just found out I’m pregnant yesterday. I’m only 5 weeks along but I’ve had multiple miscarriages. My doctor said to call her and she’ll get me in as soon as I can when I find out I’m pregnant. It’s Labor Day weekend so of course I’ll have to wait until Tuesday because the office isn’t open. She said I’ll be given hormones and do blood work. I guess my question is, what all will/can be done to prevent miscarriage? What kind of hormones does she mean? What type of blood work?
