Where to buy?

What is the best brand of Cloth Diapers? Where do you buy them? Any brands to avoid? This is my first little and plan on full time cloth diapering, but don’t know where to even start!

Answer

The best place to start is to decide what *type* of cloth diapers you want before choosing brands. The main ones are "All-in-one" (AIO), "pockets", and prefolds + covers. I do best learning when someone is talking, so I found YouTube most helpful when learning the difference, pros and cons, and eventually reviews on brands.
I personally use Clotheez prefolds and Thirsties covers, all from Green mountain diapers.com 🙂

I totally agree with what Amy said! Do some research on the types of diapers before you decide on a brand. Not all brands offer the same kind of diapers.
I personally use pockets since they're easier to clean poop off of. I use Kawaii Baby one size diapers. They have 5 layer bamboo inserts, and I really like them. I use Rig N Gig size up covers (baby got chunky thighs; these are pretty sturdy and have a thicker cover than Kawaii Baby) and Kanga Care flats (these are sooo amazing, I plan on buying more for baby #2) for overnight or when I run out of the one size pockets. I heard Green Mountain Diapers are great, but they don't ship to Canada, so I'll never know 😭
I would stay away from Kushies. The covers are terribly made and super flimsy. The fitted diapers are decent, and I plan on using these for next baby. I used their preflats in the beginning and they were fine.
If you can buy diapers off the original sites, it'll be better since Amazon somehow ends up having a lower quality of the same brand with things like backwards prints sometimes (this is the case with Kawaii Baby). That said, I ordered the Kanga Care flats on Amazon and they were perfect.
