Dentures stories, what age did you have it?

I’m only 33 and my dentist told me all of my tooth needs to be replace as I have Periodontitis. 
Sad. This is what happened when proper oral hygiene was not implemented at a very young age. Anyway. My tooth is starting hurting more after pregnancy. I’m thinking my options here. I don’t want root canal either as the health risks is more worst than having rotten teeth in my opinion. Please share your stories.

Allowing your teeth to rot is worse than a root canal. If you don't get your teeth dealt with that pain will get a thousand times worse to the point that you will turn to something to numb the pain to alcohol to drugs. Instead of not using your brain use your brain an listen to your dentist

Have you done prior dental research?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting a root canal, especially because it’s cleaning out the infection. If you keep letting your perio go out of control you will lose your teeth before you even need a root canal. 
Not to mention if your perio isn’t already too far gone you can reverse the effects by brushing and flossing after you eat, when you wake up and before bed. If you follow a good dental routine and don’t already have bone loss within 4-6 weeks the perio will reverse, but you HAVE to keep up with your dental hygiene. 
If your dentist is recommending root canals, listen to them and don’t let your oral health get any worse than it sounds like it already is.

My husband has bad teeth and root canals are not worse than letting your teeth rot. You should try and do everything possible to save your teeth. If the dentist is recommending a root canal I would do it. Dentures should be a last resort. Did the dentist say there is any possibility to save the teeth? A strict hygiene regime can reverse perio. My brother had it and it resolved with proper care and regular trips to the dentist. My mom just recently for her temp dentures and while she's happy with them (her teeth were rotting out due to all the medications she takes) and they were always infected. She said the pain was unbearable with rotting teeth. The pain from the removal wasn't great and the healing process took longer than average but she is happy with her dentures and her smile. It is a process to care for them though

Can confirm, the pain of a root canal is nothing compared to the pain of a dying tooth. I have had 2 root canals and do not regret them one bit.
