Small wins are still wins
Hey everyone. I’m 22y/o, and diagnosed with pcos 3 years ago. I wanted to celebrate the fact that I just had my first 30 day cycle in years. I’ve been working really hard at making lifestyle changes to regulate my hormones. I’ve been working hard at my mental health and facing my trauma, and have gone extremely far in healing. I wish I could give my younger self a big hug and let her know how happy we are now, but I recognize that I had to face that pain to move on. I’ve been working on fixing my gut health as I have GERD and have a very hard time digesting carbs, I’ve gone low-carb the last month and a half or so & have lost 15lbs I’m the smallest I’ve been in probably 2 years. It’s made a huge difference and this month I got my first 30 day cycle! I couldn’t be more proud of myself for reclaiming my body. I hope I can continue to keep my cycle in check and hopefully have a baby sometime in the next few years. You guys can reclaim your body you just have to do the research and work necessary. Honestly it’s not been that difficult to change my lifestyle enough to experience benefits. I believe in all of you.
