Contractions?

Question

Ok- so this is a long shot, but I'm asking, anyway. 
I'm 36+4 and I've been sitting here with this pain cascading around my belly... It comes in waves, it's not super painful (just enough to know its there), and it only lasts for about 30-45 seconds before tapering off. They haven't been horrible and have only just started.. Maybe every half hour or so?
I was just curious as if this sounds like BH or if it sounds like it could be the start of real contractions? 
I haven't lost my plug, baby girl has dropped but at my appointment this past Monday- my cervix was still closed and there was nothing going on. 
Baby girl has been a little less active- I haven't felt her much today except when I ate some fudge and drank some water.. 
I know this sounds silly- but with it being Christmas, now, I don't want to make a big deal out of something that could be nothing. I'm a FTM and I'm so uncomfortable and so ready to meet my baby- as long as she is ready.TIA!

If you are having the contractions consistently and less than 10 minutes apart, it's quite possible you are in labor. I had them all day 10-15 minutes apart before I had my baby at 5 the next day. You should make sure to relax and try not to think about it much, sometimes stressing about it will cause more contractions... I had a panic attack at 19 weeks and was having contractions every 5 minutes so I went to the ER and it was from stress... They went away when I calmed down. If you have any questions, you can call your hospital and ask a nurse about it:)

Time them. But if they don't hurt much, probably not labor...  Give it some time to see if they stay regular and intensify.

How much time in between? If they are regular and have stayed regular for an hour or more, maybe it could be labor. Maybe if they come to that, call labor and delivery and see what they have to say. It's probably Braxton hicks but you never know!
