If someone gives option for one guest for wedding does that mean you can just bring anyone with you? Would it be weird if I brought a friend? Normally I would just skip bringing a guest but this wedding requires driving far and I have health issues.

My husbands best friend whose a woman we thought was still in a relationship with her sons dad and that’s why we gave the +1. But they were breaking up and she brought a girl friend instead which was fine but she explained to my husband first
