VBAC advice please

Hey ladies!

So at my first ob appointment I had asked the midwife if I could have a vbac and she said that I would be a good candidate for one and but that I would need to be referred to a different hospital as they do not do vbac’s! I am also going to a specialist because of history of preterm labor and so I’m being monitored to make sure that my cervix maintains itself how it’s supposed to be. I had asked the specialist for his opinion on a vbac and he said absolutely not because it’s only been 20 months since I had my son and I was 16 weeks when I had asked. I really am afraid of being sliced open again because my recovery was extremely painful it’s a pain that honestly I am so scared of! 😢 Has anyone ever pushed for a vbac where one doctor said yes and the other said no? I also want to do what’s best for baby because at the end of the day the most important thing is for baby to be born strong and healthy even if it means having a c section again! Advice please! Also the only reason I had a c section was because my son decided to be breech last minute!
