Confused .. chemical pregnancy but positive test?

Hi all, hope you can shed some light on this. So I believe I had another chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks 2 days. I started bleeding/cramping/clotting 4 days ago. It’s my second chemical, the first time my lines were faint from the start and dropped very fast to negative test prior to bleeding. I still have pregnancy symptoms, I was sick yesterday after spraying hairspray and my breasts are still showing changes. I took a cheap test this morning and the line still looks quite strong. Is this normal for hcg still to be so strong in your system after such an early loss? Midwife said to test and come for a scan in over

two weeks if preg test is still positive. They won’t blood test me.
