What can I take for a cough while pregnant 🤰

I'm 11 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I've been sick with a cold since Sunday and I feel miserable. To top it off my doctor said all I can take is Tylenol. But I've had this awful cough for the past couple days that comes and goes and more when I lay down that it's driving me crazy. he also said I can take nasal spray for my nose congestion which has helped a bit. But this cough is driving me insane 😫 is there anything you guys took while pregnant for cough/cold and baby was OK. I'm terrified of taking anything other than Tylenol as i had a miscarriage back in june and im overthinking everyrhing. Not sure if even cough drops are OK to take, I forgot to ask. what did you guys take to ease the cough and sore throat while pregnant. Any recommendations?
